PANORA, Iowa — Panorama had no trouble navigating past Interstate-35 in their Class 2A Region 7 Quarterfinal Tuesday.

The hosts surged to leads of 20-6 after one quarter and of 36-15 at the intermission. I-35 (8-13) was unable to respond, and trailed, 54-21, as the fourth quarter began.

Panorama (22-1) faces Central Decatur (14-8), a 51-44 winner over Pleasantville, Friday at 7 p.m. In the other semifinal Nodaway Valley (19-3) will face Earlham (16-6), who eliminated Van Meter, 40-37.

The Regional Final will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday at a site to be determined.

Payton Beckman splashed five 3-pointers to lead the Panthers with 19 points while Lace Rishel, Jaidyn Sellers and Angel Poldberg scored 11 points apiece. Zoey Hambleton had four points, Gabby Wellberg and McKenna Burns two each and Jazmyn Sellers one.

Poldberg contributed eight rebounds and three steals, Rishel seven assists and Beckman four steals, with Jaidyn Sellers having six rebounds while blocking two shots.
