Panther harriers run Thursday

A total of seven harriers competed for Panorama at the Colfax-Mingo Invite Thursday.

MADRID — Panorama had four boys and three girls cross country runners in action Thursday at the Madrid Invitational.

Ogden won the boys side with 31 points, with Madrid second at 38 and Perry third at 82. Madrid (53), Perry (60), and Ogden (66) were the top three girls team finishers. A school must have five racers to generate a team score.

Anton Uffhauser led the Panther boys by finishing in 19 minutes, 21 seconds. Avery Norman crossed in 21:53, Landon Goodenberger in 22:38 and Ryan McCarthy in 22:58.

Payton Beckman was ninth overall in 24:10 in the girls competition, with Leah Fett posting a time of 24:44 and Avery Bahrenfuss a clocking of 28:25.

Madrid sophomores Ethan Loutzenheiser and Clay Warson were the first two boys to finish, completing the course in 17 minutes flat and 17:39, respectively.

Perry senior Jaylene Karolus (22:04) won the girls race, with Madrid junior Emily White (22:10) the runner-up.
