Panther soccer squads both fall in final home matches

PANORA — Collins-Maxwell spoiled Senior Night for the Panorama soccer teams Friday, with the guests claiming 3-1 wins in both the boys and girls contests.

Both girls teams saw their records move to 9-5 after the outcome was decided. No statistical information was been provided for the Panther girls.

Erik Rosales scored for the host boys, who saw their record fall to 5-7 overall while C-M won their third match against 14 losses.

The Panorama boys open Class 1A Substate 7 play by facing Des Moines Christian at 5 p.m. Monday at North Polk. The winner returns to Alleman Wednesday to face the winner of Monday’s 7 p.m. game between WCV and North Polk, with the May 22 game starting at 7 p.m.

DMC and Panorama met May 6 in Panora, with the visiting Lions recording a 5-2 win.

The Panorama girls will continue their regular season Thursday with a visit to Harlan.
