Panther softball splits four most recent outings

HARCOURT — Panorama recorded an 11-2 win over Coon Rapids-Bayard Saturday at the Southeast Valley Tournament, with the hosts claiming a 13-4 win in the second Panther game. The split decision followed a 19-0 whitewashing from Ogden June 4.

Panorama made it 2-2 in their latest four games with a 15-10 win over visiting West Central Valley Monday. Statistical information has yet to be received; Panorama was to have played at AC/GC Friday, but no report has been given and no response has come to repeated requests for information.

Grace Richey picked up the pitching win Saturday over CR-B while throwing all seven innings. Both Crusader runs were unearned, with Richey allowing just five hits and one walk while striking out two.

Olivia Richey hit a triple, a double and drew two walks, with Lydia Knapp driving in three runs with two hits. Kennedy Andersen had a double, single and one RBI, with Shey Storesund providing two hits, two RBIs and a stolen base.

Cassidy Hoehne tossed six frames against host SE Valley Saturday. She allowed 13 runs (10 earned) on 15 hits and five walks.

Claire Woodworth hit a home run and a single while driving in three runs, with Vallerie Storesund recording a RBI on a double and a single.

The Ogden game was out of hand from the beginning, with a single from Shey Storesund and a walk to Jazmyn Sellers accounting for the only two Panorama base runners in the three-inning loss. Grace Richey was the losing pitcher for the hosts.

Panorama plays varsity double headers at Woodward-Granger tonight and at Des Moines Christian Thursday.
