STUART — The Panorama grapplers hit the mats Tuesday, falling to both Van Meter/Earlham and host West Central Valley in a WCAC triangular.

VM/E was a 50-15 victor over Panorama, with the host Wildcats upending the Panthers, 39-33. VM/E was a 49-20 winner against WCV.

Wyatt Appleseth was the lone Panther to win both of his matches, recording both a 5-1 decision and a pin at 145 pounds.

Logan Christie (113) and James Hein (195) were both 1-1 with wins by forfeit, with Wyatt Clark (138) 1-1 with a victory by disqualification.

Hunter Holmes (285) was 1-1 with a decision, while Emry Colby (152) and Garret Fox (170) both 1-1 with victories by pinfall while Cooper Anderson stepped onto the mat once at 182, winning by forfeit.

Josh Van Winkle (126) and Noah Kirtley (160) were also in action, but neither found their way to victory in two matches apiece.

Panorama left 106, 120 and 220 open against both foes, while leaving 182 undefended against VM/E.

Panorama will compete in the annual Central Decatur Invite in their next action Friday, one of the rare Friday night mat events in Iowa. The Panthers will then be off until a visit to AC/GC Dec. 13, with Ogden hosting the WCAC tournament Dec. 15.
