PANORA — Drew Taylor blanked Audubon on two hits while striking out 13 batters as Panorama rolled to a 10-0 win over the Wheelers in non-conference baseball Monday.
The Panorama offense scored at a steady clip, plating three runs in the first inning and then two more in both the second and third frames to create a 7-0 bulge. Two runs in the fourth and a final tally with two outs in the sixth ended the game early, lifting the Panthers to 14-10 overall. Audubon fell to 11-13 with the loss.
Taylor hit two triples, added a single and drew a walk to spark the offense. He drove in three runs and scored twice.
Evan Taylor aided the hosts with a triple and a single and reached on both a walk and after being hit by a pitch. He scored three times from his lead-off spot.
Jackson Jensen threw three innings for Audubon, allowing seven runs (just two of them earned) on four hits and a walk. Aiden Alt pitched 2-2/3 frames, surrendering three runs on three hits and three walks. Alt struck out four and Jensen three.
The victory doubles the win total of the 2018 season for Panorama, who was 7-16 overall last summer.
Panorama will host Coon Rapids-Bayard for a non-conference tilt Thursday.
