Panthers unable to finish rally against Cardinals

EARLHAM, IA — Panorama was turned back by host Earlham in WCC volleyball Tuesday, falling 3-1 on scores of 25-14, 25-13, 16-25 and 25-12.

Madison Mincy distributed 10 assists for Panorama, with Jaidyn Sellers having two and Jazmyn Sellers one. Zoey Hambleton had five kills, Jaidyn Sellers, Cayden Iredale three, Keira Simmons two.

Iredale and Jaidyn Sellers each had 1.5 blocks and Simmons one to led the Panther defense at the net. Jazmyn Sellers had 14 digs, Mincy nine and Jaidyn Sellers seven. Hambleton and Caitlin Sloss produced six digs apiece, Simmons two and Iredale and Mincy one each.

Sloss served 11-of-14 with three aces, Mincy 11-13-2 and Simmons 11-12-1. Jaidyn Sellers was 8-9-1 behind the line, Jazmyn Sellers 7-7-1, with Hambleton 10-of-10.

Panorama was 58-of-65 (89 percent) with six aces. They fell to 3-9 overall and 0-3 in WCC play with the loss while Earlham improved to 9-5, 3-2.

Panorama is at Madrid Tuesday and then travels to Woodward-Granger Sept. 29 to face W-G and Pleasantville in a triangular that will not count toward WCC standings.
