A large and enthusiastic crowd lined Willis Avenue in Perry Friday morning for the July Fourth Independence Day parade, kicking off a warm day of patriotic celebrations and Trump-ordered fireworks.
Entries of all kinds — from flatbed trailers to tractors, walking groups, political candidates and parties, civic organizations and local businesses — wended their way westward from the East Perry Plaza and down Willis Avenue to the Pattee Park, where activities continued all day until the city-purchased fireworks display about 9:30 p.m.
