The 21 passengers on a party bus escaped with only minor injuries Saturday when they bus overturned about 2:30 p.m. at the 118 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 in West Des Moines.
The circumstances of the accident are under investigation at this hour. The westbound bus came to rest off the travel portion of the roadway, according to radio traffic, and did not require closure of the interstate.
The Iowa State Patrol, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Dallas County EMS and several other agencies responded to the incident.
