Patricia Milliken, 86, of Panora passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at the the Lakeside Village in Panora, Iowa.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19 from 9-11 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page. Burial will be in the Dallas Township Cemetery near Dawson.

Patricia Ann Milliken was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Perry, Iowa, at the King’s Daughters Hospital to Ralph Raymond and Ellen “Nell” (Lenihan) Topping.

She graduated from the Dawson High School.

Pat  was united in marriage to William Dean Hick July 22, 1956. They were parents of William Kevin, Sheila and David. She later married Dwaine LeRoy Milliken March 16, 2001.

They spent all their time together enjoying farmers markets and going to car shows.

Pat worked at Principal Financial Group and Spurgeon’s in Perry and was the activities assistant at the Perry Manor and the Rowley Masonic Home.

Pat attended the Valley United Methodist Church in West Des Moines and was always active in church activities that were serving others.

She was an active member of the Rippey Ladies Aid, which included quilting and serving meals.

Pat was the secretary for the Rippey United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking, quilting and bird watching.

In death she rejoins her husband, Dwaine LeRoy Milliken; parents, Ralph and Ellen Topping; and a brother, Bobby Topping.

Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her children, Kevin (Mary) Hick of Rippey, Sheila Wirth of Indianola and David Hick of Ankeny; grandchildren, William Haven (Lisa) Hick of Pella, Elizabeth (Adam) Wunsch of Ridgeport, Iowa, Ryan Stout of Indianola and Rachel (John) Betts of Indianola; great-grandchildren, William Henry Hick, Brayden Hick and Charles Hick of Pella and Erin Betts of Indianola; sisters-in-law, Maxine Topping of Des Moines and Bernadine Wall of Des Moines; niece, Twilla Topping of Des Moines; nephew, Tony (Janet) Topping of West Des Moines; and many other family and friends.

Memorials will be given to Alzheimer’s Association, 1415 28th St #430, West Des Moines, IA 50266 and may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
