PAWS in the pool Saturday

The Perry Area Winter Swimmers (PAWS), while carefully observing healthy protocols against COVID-19, were able to host a meet at the MCB Pool Saturday.

Leading the way for the PAWS girls was 15-18 standout Jaylene Karolus, who posted five wins, combination of individual and relay victories. Emily Dowd and Addison Huntington (both 15-18) each had four victories, with 8U member Jessa Hellman, 11-12 racers Ilana Baumert and Aleah Karolus and 13-14 speedster Zoe Hibbert all winning three times.

Double wins were to 11-12 swimmers Megan Underwood and Alison Drake. Single victories were posted by Lillian Lucht, Isabella Stein and Briella Nath (all 8U) and Ellie Hughes, Kilee Hughes, Malia Jacobsen, and Cali Knudsen (all 11-12) also winning once.

The PAWS boys received five wins from Reynaud Deardorff (8U), with Dyson Deardorff (9-10) winning four times.

Three wins were tallied by Isaac Winey (11-12), Riese Archer (15-18), Samuel Ridnour (15-18), and Andrew Dowd (15-18).

Andrew Baumert and Brooks Brelsford (both 9-10) each had two wins, and did Josh Pohl (15-18), with Diego Diaz-Cardenas (11-12) winning once.

PAWS is coached by Dana Stein, with Riese Archer and Ainsley Marburger assisting.
