Pearl Valley rummage sale offers walking tacos, curious goods

Walking tacos were the centerpiece of the recent Pearl Valley Rehabilitation Center rummage sale fundraiser, with visitors munching the spicey sacksful while browsing the varied goods.

Pearl Valley Activities Coordinator Mary Means received help from July McLeod, Megan Bishop, Peggy Ellsbury, Shirley Rex and James Larson in managing the outdoor event, with the warm fall weather cooperating.

“We’ve had a good crowd this morning,” Means said. “We sold a few things and hope to see more people here after lunch.”

Free popcorn and a variety of homemade baked goods were also available, as was a selection of alcohol-free beverages.

Pearl Valley Administrator Doug Wood said the annual rummage sale is a favorite with residents and staff alike.

James Larson was happy to show shoppers the goods at the recent Pearl Valley Rehabilitation Center rummage sale.
