Few but ardent were the bikers at the Perry Trailhead at Caboose Park Saturday morning for the 9 a.m. start of the 2015 Mayors Ride, a round trip from Perry to Waukee.
Perry Mayor Jay Pattee was joined by Mike Whener of Perry, founder of The Raccoon River Innovative Bicycle Experience (TRIBBE) and Alan and Kathy Lenz of Perry. Their Perry pride was rewarded with perfect conditions for the trek, which is to be followed by the Bike Rodeo at 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the Perry Hy-Vee.
