The Perry Public Library’s Kids Fest will return Saturday, June 4 after a two-year gap.
The seventh annual Kids Fest was held in June 2019 but was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attractions for the youngsters include a bubble farm, foam cannon, balloon twister, dunk tank and petting zoo.
The Perry Rotary Club is hosting a putting green, and kids can try their hands at quill writing at the Hometown Heritage at the Carnegie Library Museum. The library is also hosting a boat-making activity, including testing the boats’ seaworthiness on a duck pond.
The Perry Firefighters Associations has rolled out the heavy machinery and is serving pork tenderloin sandwiches or hot dogs along with chips, granola bar and water for $1.
The Kids Fest was established in 2013 through the leadership of longtime friend of the Perry Public Library John Glass of Perry. The fest continues until 1 p.m. Saturday in downtown Perry.
