The Perry football team will host Boone Friday in their final home game of the season. Bluejay seniors will be honored at the game, with a special dedication held for the new Pete Van Kirk plaza and the first round of renovations at Dewey Field.
Also a part of Friday’s activities will be a Membership Drive held by the Perry Booster Club. Members of the club will be at the gates, and serving in the Jays Nest merchandise/clothing stand, to provide information about the Boosters and collect new memberships.
As a special incentive, any membership of $25 or more turned in Friday will receive a free pork loin sandwich from the concessions stand.
The Perry Booster Club plays an invaluable role in supporting extracurricular activities of all kinds at PHS, including sports, drama, music and more.
In the last school year the Booster Club provided over $22,000 in support of a wide-ranging series of needs.
Uniforms, awards and banners, scholarships and admissions received financial aid, with clinic and camps funded and trainer fees provided. The Dewey Field Renovations received support, with HUDL sports video analysis also helped.
The Booster Club were involved in supporting the band and color guard, drama department, prom and homecoming and community auctions, as well as providing meals for umpires and officials. Softball, golf, wrestling, basketball, track and soccer teams also received valuable backing by the Boosters.
Executive ($1,000) level members receive two season passes, good for admission to all home events, with VIP ($500) members receiving one season pass. Those joining at the MVP ($300), Platinum ($200) and Gold ($100) levels receive five-game admission (for home contests) punch cards, with three given at the MVP, two at Platinum and one at Gold level.
Silver ($50) level members will receive a pass to a single home event. Memberships are also available at the Blue ($25), White ($10) and Junior Jay ($10) levels.
