BOONE — Perry senior Jack Brosnahan earned All-Conference honors by tying ADM’s Tyler Whyle for the fifth lowest score at the boys Raccoon River Conference tournament Monday. Brosnahan led Perry with a 39-40–79, with Whyle second for the Tigers with a 40-39–79.

ADM won the team crown by shooting a 317, with Ballard second at 327 and Carroll third at 329. Boone (342) finished fourth, Perry (346) fifth and Winterset (378) sixth, with Bondurant-Farrar nipping Carlisle, 399-400, for the seventh spot.

Ballard Nash Bucher won individual honors with a 36-40–76, with teammate Aiden Fitchko (38-39–77) tying Carroll’s Zach Riddle (36-41–77) for second place overall. Bucher and Fitchko’s scores had Ballard in good shape in the team race, but it was the depth of the ADM squad that lifted the Tigers to the title as Joe Vest (41-37–78) placed fourth while Whyle tied Brosnahan and ADM’s Brody Boston (39-41–80) tied fellow Tiger Ben Sandquist (39-41–80) for seventh.

All-conference honors go the 10 lowest individual scores and ties, with Boone’s Dalton Huseman (41-41–82) and Carroll’s Drake Warner (39-43–82) grabbing the final two spots.

Six of the All-RRC players are seniors; Warner, Fitchko and Huseman are juniors and Whyle is a freshman.

Sophomore Noah Wilkening was second for Perry with a round of 45-42–87, with senior Will Whiton shooting a 43-46–89 while freshman Connor Nielsen had a 44-47–91. Perry did not use the 42-52–94 shot by junior Kade VanKirk or the 49-49–97 from junior Ryan Rathje.

Nick Benes (41-49–90) led Winterset, with Jordan Barnett (44-48–92) pacing Bondurant-Farrar while Jesse Mercer (48-49–97) had the low round for Carlisle.

Perry returns to the links Friday with sectional action at Atlantic. Tee time is 9 a.m.
