The Perry High School Class of 1969 shared a glittering banquet Saturday night at La Poste to round out their 50th class reunion weekend.
Daytime activities included touring the the former PHS building, now in use as the Perry Middle School, and painting the Rock with the motto, “We the People. Class of 1969 50th Reunion.”
Gaye White Scharingson, an active member of the reunion’s planning committee, thanked the planners and attendees at the end of the evening with a post to the class’ Facebook page:
“Thank you to everyone on the PHS Class of 1969 planning committee who worked so hard to make the weekend a success. Special thanks to Diana Polski, Kathy Annear Walsh and Carla Shriver who worked so hard on getting this event off the ground and running and to Jeff Wilson, Gary Marlow, Jim McCauley, Shannon Bryan, Joyce West Luke, Bob Peel, Kim Frease, Kae Huff, Dennis Wernli, Dennis Ulrich and to Deb Faller Young who baked cookies for the get together last night and for providing the cakes for tonight, along with the table decorations. If I have missed anyone, I apologize. It was a wonderful weekend and so good to see so many of you.”
