Rich Nicohls and Sue Whiton were each honored for 20 years of service to Perry schools. Nacny Kiefer and David Loyd (not pictured) were also noted for having reached the 20-year milestone.

Dedication to the Perry Schools and local students was recognized recently as several PCSD employees received gifts of appreciation for their years of service.

PCSD Superintendent Lynn Ubben presented Jolene Niemeyer with an engraved statue of children in honor of her 40 years with Perry Schools, with Ubben giving Deb Clark a blue crystal apple in recognition of her 30 years with the district.

Laura Painter received an engraved crystal ball after she recently completed her 25th year with Perry schools with gifts also presented to Nancy Kiefer, David Loyd, Rich Nichols and Susan Whiton for 20 years of service to the community schools.

The awards were given at a ceremony for staff held in the Perry Performing Arts Center Wednesday.

Niemeyer addressed her fellow staff and faculty, discussing her career and encouraging those attending to remain loyal with the local district as she has done.

Mrs. Niemeyer spoke to staff about her career and encouraged others to stick with Perry Schools as it is a great place to be.

Others were noted for tenures reaching 15, 10 and five years of service.
