Do you enjoy tacos? If so, then Des Moines Area Community College Perry VanKirk Career Academy is hosting a Tacopalooza event Monday evening that will satisfy your taste for tacos.
“Come celebrate the start of a spec-TACO-ular new school year at the DMACC Perry VanKirk Career Academy,” said Eddie Diaz, director of the career academy.
Diaz said local taco vendors will vie for the title of best tacos in Perry, with DMACC students and the public will be able to cast their votes for their favorite tacos between 4-6 p.m. at the VanKirk Academy at 1011 Second St. in downtown Perry.
The event is open to the general public, and DMACC students and staff will receive coupons for 50-cent tacos and $1 off throughout the evening. Tacos will be served off just Railroad Street between DMACC and the Perry Public Library.
