Perry Elementary School fourth and fifth graders win National Math Contest awards

Students in Kalyn Hansel’s fourth and fifth grade classes at Perry Elementary School took home honors in the National Mathematics Contest this week.

Fourth-grade winners were Ambrosia Blanton, Julian Ferreris and Genesis Duarte. Duarte placed in the top 10 percent of U.S. fourth graders.

Winners among Hansel’s fifth graders were Sharitzy Romero, Cole Nelson, Izick Moore, Zari Hopper, Rafael Avila, Cassidy Hibbert, Jamie Gray, Quinton Kimrey, Jaylene Karolus and Caden Steva.
