Perry Elementary School staff will parade through the community at 2 p.m. Monday, hoping to wave and smile at any students who might stand outside their homes.

Sleety rain has led the Perry Elementary School to postpone the scheduled staff parade of vehicles until Monday at 2 p.m. The route has not changed.

Principal Ned Menke said a test run of the route took about 75 minutes, so people living toward the far end of the circuit will need to time their expected drive-by appropriately.

Teachers will be waving and encouraging students as they pass by, and they ask that the students respect social distancing but are hopeful many will step outside to return greetings.
