ADEL — River Valley Golf Course took a toll on the Perry girls team Thursday, as the Jayettes struggled with accuracy and finished well behind host ADM and Ogden in a triangular.

“It was a very rough night,” Perry head coach Joel Happel said, tongue-in-cheek. “The rough was very long and gave some players a lot of trouble. We will need to regroup for our conference tournament (which Perry will host) Monday.”

Sarah Sweet’s 55 was the low score for the Jayettes, with Skylar Cunningham carding a 57, Hannah Roberts a 59 and Brooke Huntington a 60. Alyssa Kruger finished with a 62 that was not used for the team total. Perry was without Ellie Nielsen, who was absent with a scheduling conflict.

Tania Telford’s 51 earned medalist honors, with ADM also using scores of 53 from Lindsay Lange, of 54 from Bailey Banner and of 56 from either Nicole Bever or Kaylee Wheeler. Lydia Weighner also played for the Tigers.

Ogden’s Maranda Wheelock was runner-up medalist with her card of 52, while fellow Bulldogs Hannah Carter (53), Kylie Nichols (54) and Christina Wheelock (57) also scored. Harlie Vinchattle (66) and Ally Rubin (72) also made the rounds for Ogden.

Monday’s RRC meet will begin at 8:30 a.m. Perry will then join DC-G for a triangular at Winterset May 16 before traveling to Newton for their Class 4A Regional May 23.
