Two former Perry athletes will be competing for the Yellow Jackets in two sports apiece, as Kato Dougan and Grace Stewart have both declared their intention to enroll in Lamoni.

LAMONI — Recent Perry grad Kato Dougan and 2018 alum Grace Stewart will both be busy out of the classroom in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Both have signed NAIA Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at Graceland University. Dougan will run track and play baseball, with Stewart also competing in track while joining the basketball team.

Dougan made multiple appearances at the state track meet for the Bluejays and was one of the leaders on the baseball team. Stewart, who just completed her freshman year at DMACC, where she ran cross country, was a track, cross country and basketball player for the Jayettes.
