After little more than one year as director of the Perry Hy-Vee, Darin Schoop has been promoted to the directorship of the Johnston Hy-Vee.
“Time to make it Facebook official,” Schoop said Sunday at about 5 p.m. on his Facebook page. “I have been named the store director at the Johnston Hy-Vee!”
The Granger native received many congratulations from friends and co-workers following his announcement.
“We are very lucky to have experienced your leadership,” said Dustin Dietrick, kitchen manager of the Perry store. “You kept us on point, but in a gentle, caring way. You will be missed dearly. I’m very sad to see you go, but I am so happy to see that your hard work and determination has paid off for you in the way you deserve. You will be missed by everyone in the Perry community. The best of luck in your new venture.”
Schoop’s mother, Marilyn Schoop, said she was very proud of her son.
“We are so happy for your new challenge with your new position at Johnston Hy-Vee,” she said. “Dad and I are so proud of what you have accomplished through the years.”
Schoop said he is pleased with progress made at the Perry Hy-Vee and is excited at the latest prospect.
I am going “to miss my incredible team at the Perry Hy-Vee and the so many accomplishments we have attained together over the past 15 months,” Schoop said. “The community of Perry is filled with outstanding people and citizens, which I am honored to call my friends. I’m excited to start my next chapter with the Johnston Hy-Vee crew.”
The Johnston Hy-Vee is located at 5750 Merle Hay Road.
