The Perry Kiwanis Club made a $500 donation this week to Perry’s Academic and Cultural Enrichment Services (PACES), a before- and after-school program managed by Mary Hillman of Grand Junction.

Kiwanis President Elect Tricia Steffen presented Hillman with a $500 check to be used for several PACES programs, including the preschooler program, the fifth-grade learning center and the PACES in the Middle program for sixth through eighth graders.

Hillman, who has run the program for nearly 15 years on a zero budget from the Perry Community School District, also hosts a PACES summer school program.  She addressed the Perry Kiwanis membership at their April 7 meeting at the Hotel Pattee in Perry.
