The Perry Lutheran Homes Director of Development Lynette Groenenboom and Coordinator of Marketing and Development Jennifer Rothfus spoke to the Perry Lions Club last week about the various services and levels of care provided at the Perry Lutheran Homes.

The Perry Lutheran Home has three campuses, they said. The Eden Acres campus is often referred to as the old Masonic Home. The King’s Gardens campus is the facility on Willis Avenue at the site traditionally called the Lutheran Home, and the Spring Valley campus is the building attached to Dallas County Hospital.

Groenenboom and Rothfus explained that the levels of care at the campuses range from independent living to assisted living, skilled care and therapy to help patients recover from illness, surgery or injury. There is a memory care unit at the King’s Gardens campus to care for people with dementia.

They said the Perry Lutheran Homes and Acorns and Oaks Christian Daycare have also partnered at the King’s Gardens campus to create a unique intergenerational program that benefits both the older adults and the children.

Perry Lion Carm Staker, a resident of the Perry Lutheran Homes Spring Valley campus,  introduced Groenenboom and Rothfus and shared the club’s luncheon at the Hotel Pattee.
