The Perry Lutheran Homes are seeking nominations of two Perry residents whom it can honor in October with its Exemplar Award and the StepUP! Award.

Nominees should meet the following criteria:

The Exemplar Award honors persons who have lived their lives in such a way that they  provide a positive model for others to follow. Winners of this award will be at least 70 years of age and will have shown the following characteristics throughout their lifetime: integrity, leadership, faith, service to community and commitment to family.

The StepUp! Service Award is given to persons of any age who have or are currently serving in a paid position or as a volunteer to help the elderly in our community. These people go above and beyond what is expected in order to make sure Perry’s elderly men and women are supported and well cared for.

The community is asked to help the Perry Lutheran Homes to identify and recognize these special people. Any individual, family, business, church, service organization, fellowship club or not‐for‐profit may nominate a candidate online for the Exemplar Award or the StepUp! Service Award.

In order to request nomination forms by mail or email, call or email Sara Nefzger at 515-465-5342 or snefzger@perrylutheranhomes.org. Nominations for both awards are due Sept. 15 by the end of the business day.
