A Perry man was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting his mother.
Jonathan de Jesus Corado-Melendrez, 23, of 914 Central St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.
The incident began about 11 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Central Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers arrived and made contact with the victim, who said Corado-Melendrez became “upset over his Playstation 4 controller was broken” and “was also upset about his girlfriend not being able to come over due to work,” according to court records.
A witness said Corado-Melendrez “grabbed his mother’s hair and pulled it” and “started yelling” and “pushing his mother.”
Corado-Melendrez is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $500 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled to appear Dec. 23 in Dallas County District Court.
Corado-Melendrez was arrested on charges of assault and assault on persons in certain occupations in June. The case is pending in Dallas County District Court. He was arrested on a charge of assault in November. The case is pending in Dallas County District Court.
