A Perry man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly choking a woman during a physical altercation.
Ronald Daniel Landals, 29, of 12759 Knox Trail, Perry, was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding flow of air/blood.
The incident began about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, when Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 12700 block of Knox Trail.
According to court records, a verbal altercation became physical after the victim “had
thrown an empty children’s back pack” at Landals. The victim told law enforcement that “as she was walking away, she was drug down by her hair,” and Landals allegedly “wrapped his arm around” the victim’s “neck while he was behind her. ”
The victim said that “she was being choked,” and “she was unable to breathe,” according to court records.
Landals is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
