A Perry man was arrested on a Greene County warrant Monday in connection with an alleged sex crime that occurred in Grand Junction in September 2019.

Michael Lee Devilbiss, 35, of 1612 Rawson St., Perry, was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor-cause to engage in a prohibited sexual act or in the simulation of a prohibited sexual act.

According to court records, Devilbiss had a relationship with a 17-year-old female between May and September 2018. Evidence obtained by law enforcement from the victim’s phone allegedly disclosed that “out of roughly 253 photos, 16 were nude photos.”

Devilbiss was served with the Greene County warrant Monday when he was transported to the Greene County Jail from the Newton Correctional Facility. He is held in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled for a hearing March 11 in Greene County District Court.

Devilbiss was convicted of lascivious acts with a child-fondle or touch the pubes or genitals of a child in 2009 in Appanoose District Court.
