A Perry man was arrested Monday night on a Dallas County warrant after he failed to appear for a court date in connection with his arrest in February.

Scott Ryan Hall, 46, of 1920 Evelyn St., Perry, was arrested Feb. 22 in Perry when he was found to be in possession of 66 grams of methamphetamine. He was charged with controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, keeping a premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hall petitioned the court July 2 to plead guilty to possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine as a habitual offender, and he was given until July 19 to report for a presentence investigation (PSI), according to court records.

A warrant for Hall’s arrest was ordered July 19 in Dallas County District Court after he “failed to cooperate with the PSI as ordered by the Court,” according to court records.

An officer of the Perry Police Department initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle that Hall was operating in the 2700 block of Willis Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Monday. The active warrant was discovered, and he was taken into custody without incident.

A female passenger in Hall’s vehicle was also taken into custody by the Perry Police Department.
