Cori Alberto Alamina, 18, of Perry was arrested Wednesday on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of assault with intent to inflict serious injury.

A Perry man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Wednesday morning in connection with an alleged assault June 27 at a house party in rural Perry.

Cori Alberto Alamina, 18, of 728 William St., Perry, was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury.

The alleged assault took place shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, June 27 in the 15800 block of 141st St., where Alamina struck a Des Moines man “in the face and then took him to the ground during a house party,” according to court records.

The victim “suffered a fractured clavicle bone, a concussion and a possible broken nose” in the alleged assault, which was witnessed by several people and was said to be unprovoked.

Alamina allegedly admitted to Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs, who responded to the incident, that he struck the victim after the victim “had made a threatening gesture towards Alamina.”

Alamina is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 20 in Dallas County District Court.
