ADEL — The Perry girls grade 7 and 8 track teams took to the track and throwing pads for the first time in 2015 with a visit to the ADM Relays April 15.
Zowie Strough was third for Perry in the 200 hrudles in 34.54 seconds, with Natalie Martinez third inthe 800 in 2 minutes, 56.36 seconds while Aliece Fox placed sixth in the 100 in 15.68 and Mackenzie Ayers sixth in the 200 hurdles in 2:56.36.
Rylynn Gilmore placed in both throwing disciplines, finishing third in the discus with a spin of 58 feet, 1 inch and sixth in the shot put with a shove of 22’1-1/2.
The Perry 2 team was fourth in the sprint medley in 2:24.42 while the Perry 1 unit was sixth in the event in 2:29.87.
The Perry 2 4×100 team was fourth (1:08.75) and the Perry 2 4×200 squad sixth (2:24.62).
Perry 1 was fifth (13:54.66) and Perry 2 sixth (14:23.43) in the 4×800, with Perry 1 fifth (1:34.37) and Perry 2 sixth (1:36.35) in the shuttle hurdle relay.
