A regular season that will not soon be forgotten was capped Thursday at the MCB Pool when the Perry Summer Swim Team routed Sac City, 398-202, to finish 9-0 in Iowa West Swim Conference duals.

Aleah Karolus (8U), Lilly Riley (9-10), Sophia McDevitt (11-12) and Haley Vaughn (15-18) each had perfect five-win efforts for the hosts, with Quin Mahler-Moreno (9-10), and Jaylene Karolus (11-12) each tallying four wins.

Triple-winners for the Perry girls were Addison Huntington (11-12), Abby Herman (13-14) and Stephanie Hill and Breanna Penenger (both 15-18), while Rachel Johnson, Sarah Prombo and Mia Wright (all 8U), Zoe Hibbert and Rebecca Johnson (both 9-10) and Hailey Greiner (11-12) collected two wins apiece.

Garrett Winey (11-12 age group) had a part in five victories for Perry against Sac City Thursday.

Garrett Winey (11-12) had five wins for the Perry boys, with Joel Storey (9-10) and 13-14 racers Riese Archer and Jacob Storey each winning four times.

Logan Castillo and Ian Thompson (both 11-12) were the lone triple-victors, with Isaac Winey (8U), Kane Mahler-Moreno (9-10), Josh Prombo (11-12), Cristopher Gonzalez, Samuel Ridnour and Dylan Winey (all 13-14) and the 15-18 quartet of Devon Archer, Drew Storey, Alex Thompson and Ethan Winey all finishing with a pair of victories.

Not to be discounted were single wins swimmers, who added valuable points to the team total. Dannah Karolus (15-18) had one win for the girls, with Bryan Anderson and Townes Wilson (both 8U) also posting single wins.

Lilly Riley (9-10) was a five-time winner for Perry Thursday.

Perry had a number of swimmers in action who, while not recording wins, were still instrumental in earning team points. Payton Lundgren, Maddie McDevitt, Lydia Nelsen and Payton Zander (all 9-10), Laura Merz, Sarah Merz, Jenna Nelsen and Kaylee Wuebker (all 11-12) and Vivian Gonzalez, Avery Miner and Anna Ridnour (all 15-18) were key parts of the Perry victory on the girls side, with Marcus Nelsen (13-14) and Calvin Sass (15-18) helping the host boys rack up the points.

The IWSC conference meet will be held in Sac City July 15 with a 10 a.m. start.

Wins are defined as finishing first in an individual event or as a member of a relay team.
