  • An officer of the Perry Police Department conducted a DARE class at the DMACC VanKirk Career Academy.
  • A caller said she received a call from someone claiming to be from “the state police department” who “said she owes $200,000,” and “they needed her Social Security number in order to sort things out.” An officer responded and said “it is most likely a scam and not to provide any information.”
  • A caller said “someone has stolen a trailer.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested to speak with an officer about how to get a no-contact order.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she “found scratches on her vehicle in the rear of her residence.” An officer responded.
  • A 16-year-old female was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, interference with official acts and two counts of assault on a peace officer.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department conducted a DARE class at the DMACC VanKirk Career Academy.
  • A caller “requested an officer speak to her son, who has started to steal things.” An officer responded and explained to the child “the consequences of his actions.”
  • A caller said she “felt like someone should check the tree behind her neighbor’s house” because “it didn’t look safe.” The caller was told “the police department would not be able to determine whether the tree was safe or not.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said the property manager “threatened to evict her” because “she is late with rent.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a cat was caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller “requested extra patrol in reference to an issue that occurred last Sunday with her sister.” Officers were advised.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
