April 19, 2018

  • A caller said “her husband was moving her stuff to the neighbor’s yard, and things were getting escalated again.” The Boone County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A calling motorist said he “noticed a female on the side of the road sitting down” who “appeared to be distressed.” An officer responded and made contact with the female, who said she “had been in an argument with her boyfriend” and “was out for a walk.”
  • Ronald David Sexton of 1925 Evelyn St., Perry, was issued a citation for unlawful passing of a school bus.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a cell phone he said he found. An officer responded, and the item was “logged into evidence.”
  • A caller said “he received a phone call from someone who said he was with the IRS.” The caller said he gave the phone scammer no information.

April 20, 2018

  • David Anthony Moore, 52, 1711 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on original Perry Police Department charges of second-offense possession of a controlled substance, second-offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Mark Gordon Parmenter, 54, 12623 N.E. 64th St., Elkhart, Iowa, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on original Perry Police Department charges of two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and invasion of privacy.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
