April 26, 2017

  • A caller was concerned about “a small dog tied up outside all day.” The caller said “the dog is whining,” but she was “not sure who the dog belongs to.” An officer responded and found the “dog had food but not water.” The officer gave water to the dog and planned action.
  • A 16-year-old male from Spirit Lake, Iowa, was arrested on a charge of underage possession of tobacco.
  • A 17-year-old male from Perry was served with a no-trespass notice.
  • Jesus Ramon Gomez, 19, 1224 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
  • A caller said someone stole her “Iowa National Guard-issued kevlar vest” from her vehicle. An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a dead cat in the gutter.” The Perry Public Works Department was notified.

April 27, 2017

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department came upon a non-working street light and filled out an online report.
