  1. So how long does it take Perry police to arrest someone on a warrant posted by IHP? I was notified by IHP a warrant was being processed in early March. The first week of April I was advised again the warrant was “in the system” and available to the police. This means a warrant was completed in early March and it’s been almost two months. Why? Are they that busy, or are such things just not that important? I see arrests posted here based on Dallas County warrants and others all the time. So they must check the system once in a while.

    • We do not know enough about the system to answer your question, which is an interesting one. Maybe it has to do with the nature of the crime. They might be more zealous in pursuing the most wanted. Or perhaps there is a backlog. We do not know. Perhaps you could turn yourself in and find out? They might well go easier on you than if they have to come looking for you. Again, pure speculation on our part. Be careful out there.
