August 15, 2018

  • Christopher Adelbert Laurent, 49, of no fixed residence, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on an original charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department assisted the Perry Public Works Department with “compliance issues.”
  • A 17-year-old female from Perry was issued a citation for striking an unattended vehicle and violation of a restricted license.
  • A caller reported “a sick raccoon” that “appears to need to be put down.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported receiving a scam phone call.
  • A caller said someone “is threatening violence towards her.” An officer responded, and the Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller lodged a parking complaint. An officer responded.
  • Tiffany Sue Al Rashid Sloss Secress of 2118 Second St. was issued a citation for second-offense dog at large.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller reported a “sick cat laying in her yard.” An officer responded and “disposed of the cat.”
  • A caller said someone “keyed the side of his truck.” The caller said “it had occurred six months ago as well.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “there was a bat in her house.” An officer responded, “removed the bat and set it free outside.”
  • A caller reported an abandoned bicycle. An officer responded and the “bike was secured in the bike shed.”

August 16, 2018

  • A caller said he lost his driver’s licence.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller reported a “possibly abused dog” at a rural residence outside the city limits of Perry. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notifed.
  • A 17-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on an original charge of burglary.
  • Jocelyn Miranda-Fuentes of 1817 Evelyn St. was issued a citation for first-offense dog at large.
  • A caller said “she wants her live-in boyfriend out” of the apartment “but admitted he was on the lease.” An officer responded and explained the boyfriend “had a right to be in the apartment if he was on the lease.” The caller “aalso requested a no-contact order” and was told “that she would have to go through the courts for that.” The officer directed both parties “to leave each other alone for the rest of the day”
  • A caller said he found a billfold. An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check for her son.” An officer responded and found “everything fine.”
  • A caller “requested a welfare check” on someone who “was making suicidal comments, saying her was going to take more than his recommended medication amount or jump in front of a car.” Officers responded, and the Dallas County EMS was paged.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
