August 6, 2020

  • Officers received report of a bicycle theft in the 1300 block of Willis Avenue.

August 7, 2020

  • A 2008 Toyota SW, registered to Jorge Xuncax of 1703 Winter St., Perry, collided with a legally parked Hyundai Tucson, registered to Leslie Devon of 9800 Newport Vista Dr., Johnston. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $1,000.
  • Officers received a report of harassment in the 1300 block of First Avenue. The officers spoke to the parties and advised them to cease contact with one another.
  • A 2010 Toyota Camry 4D, registered to and driven by Chester Donald Isley of 1220 Fifth St., Perry, collided with a 2016 Toyota Tacoma PK, registered to and driven by Brian Garrett of 1135 Court St., Adel, near the intersection of Iowa Highway 141 and First Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $2,500. Isley was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 1600 block of Seventh Street.
  • Dakota Bradley Barrett, 20, of 1624 Seventh St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia first-offense and domestic abuse assault.

August 8, 2020

  • Officers responded to a report of theft in the 2000 block of Otley Avenue. The loss was estimated at $110.
  • A 2006 Nissan, registered to Erick Fernando Medrano Chic of 1911 Willis Ave., Perry, and driven by Anthony Ramiriz, 16, of Perry, struck a tree in the 1300 block of Fifth Street.
  • Christopher Joseph Hidlebaugh, 22, of 16770 N Ave., Bouton, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • Officers responded to a report of a possible theft in the 1300 block of First Avenue.

August 9, 2020

  • Officers responded to a report of an assault in the 500 block of Fourth Street. The case is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to the 800 block of Rawson on a report of a domestic abuse assault and possible sexual  assault in the 800 block of Rawson Street.
  • Ricardo Hernandez-Hernandez, 32, of 819 Rawson St., Perry, was arrested on charges of first-offense domestic abuse assault and second-degree sexual abuse.
  • Received a report of harassment in Yale. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office was alerted.
  • Officers responded to an attempt to use a fake/play bill in the 1200 block of First Avenue.
  • Received a report of a domestic assault in the 1600 block of Willis Avenue. The case is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of 14th Street. The altercation was verbal only, and the parties separated.
  • Received a report of vehicle theft in the 1900 block of Willis Avenue.
  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of 14th Street. The altercation was verbal only, and the parties separated.

August 10, 2020

  • Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident in the 1600 block of Iowa Street. A rolling garbage bin owned by the city was damaged. The damage was estimated at $75.
  • Officers responded to a report of a bicycle theft in Weise Park.
  • Officers responded to a report of harassment in the 1900 block of Pine Street.
  • A 2013 Jeep Patriot, registered to and driven by Kassandra Eiteman of 823 Fourth Street, Perry, collided with a 2006 Honda Civic 4D, registered to and driven by Carlos Humberto Mayorga Rodriguez of 2801 First Ave., Perry, on Estella Street. Eiteman was issued a citation for failure to yield, and Rodriguez was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.
  • Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1300 block of First Avenue.
  • A 2010 Dodge Caravan, registered to and driven by Jessica Renea Khalid of 500 Fourth St., Perry, collided with a U.S. Postal Service vehicle. The mail carrier was no longer at the scene and accident report has not been completed.

August 11, 2020

  • A 2015 Chevy Equinox, registered to and driven by Glenda Hiddleson of 103 S. First St., Dawson, collided with a 2001 Dodge Ram truck, registered to and driven by Christopher Scantin of 515 Third St., Perry, in the parking lot of a retail store. Damage was estimated at $1,200 damages to vehicle 1.
  • Officers received a report of theft from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Seventh Street. The loss was estimated at $50.
  • Officers responded to a report of harassment in the 900 block of Willis Avenue.
  • Torry Blake Denson, 36, of 1617 Iowa St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of second-offense OWI.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
