December 2, 2016

  • A caller said “he has 2,500 gallons of diesel outside, and it looks like someone unplugged it and probably took some for themselves.” The caller said he “would like a spotlight during the night to just have people aware that officers are aware.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “said her daughter is being harassed at school.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “the landlord was not allowing them access to the basement where they had items.” An officer responded and spoke with the landlord, who said she “didn’t have a problem with” the tenants “going into the basement of the building as long as she accompanied them.” The officer informed the tenants.
  • A caller said her dog was missing.
  • A caller said “his vehicle was struck by another vehicle that left the scene.” An officer responded.
  • Omar Manfredo Herrera-Jaimes, 35, 532 Clearview Dr., Perry, was arrested on a Perry warrant on a charge of forgery.
  • A caller from a local restaurant said a man with a mustache “came into the business and threw food all over, scaring the other customers.” An officer responded. After consulting with the caller, the officer served a no-trespass notice to the man with the mustache.
  • A caller said “a child came into his yard and took a starry Christmas light decoration.” The caller said he “followed the child” but “lost sight of” him. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her ex-boyfriend just showed up and tried to force his way into her apartment.” Officers responded.

December 3, 2016

  • A caller said “there is water coming up out of the ground in the street in front of his residence.” An officer responded and notified the Perry Water Works.
  • A caller said “her 63-year-old husband was cold, not moving, or breathing.” An officer responded, and Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department “removed some brush off the roadway.”
  • Tod Lynn Rickels, 55, 311 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a billfold he said he found in the street. An officer responded and notified the owner of the item, who later retrieved it.
  • A caller said his brother has “his Social Security card and won;t give it back.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her neighbors were “playing loud music.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from the McCreary Community Building said “they are attempting to close for the night, and a group of kids is refusing to leave.” An officer responded and told the kids “that they needed to leave the premises.”

December 4, 2016

  • A caller reported “a problem with his sister and her boyfriend.” Officers responded and learned the caller’s sister “is pregnant and the father of the baby was refusing to assist” the caller’s sister “any longer.” The officers “gave them several suggestions.”
  • A caller from Violet Hill Cemetery said “it looks like a tombstone has been vandalized.” An officer responded and found “the headstone that had been pushed to the side.” The cemetery sexton was notified.
  • A 15-year-old make from Perry was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree theft.
  • A caller said “someone riding a four-wheeler” who “appeared to be racing a car.” An officer responded but “was not able to locate the four-wheeler.”
  • Sean Robert Harrington, 23, 1315 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of secon-offense possession of methamphetamine, second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on two Dallas County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jacey Mae Spoo, 25, 2811 Warford St., #6, Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

December 5, 2016

  • Brandon Taylor Mims, 25, 2946 Kading Rd., Perry, was arrested on charges of first-offense OWI and open container.
  • A caller reported “the theft of her purse from her vehicle.” An officer responded.
  • A man undergoing independent alcohol testing at the Dallas County Hospital said “he had been assaulted during the initial incident.” An officer responded, and a statement was taken.
  • A caller said she caught a kitten running at large. An officer responded and lodged the animal at the Perry Animal Holding facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • Heather Ann Corrigan, 36, 2917 Kading Rd., Perry, was arrested on four Dallas County warrants for probation violation on an original charge of trespassing, probation violation on an original charge of harassment, probation violation on original charges of violation of a no-contact order and contempt of court-violation of a no-contact order.
  • “A behavior teacher at the elementary school” called and “advised of a missing student.” Officers responded, and the child was later found happy and healthy.
  • A caller said “her son was just bitten by two dogs that were running loose.” The caller said she “was taking her child to the hospital.” An officer responded and made contact with the mother of the owner of the dogs and then with the owner of the dogs at his workplace. The owner of the dogs said his animals “were current on their shots” and that he “would provide proof with vet records.” The officer made contact with the victim and his mother.
  • A caller said her 15-year-old son ran away. An officer responded and “located her son in the basement.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
