December 21, 2016

  • A caller said she “discovered a suspicious charge” and “reported the suspicious charge to her credit card company and disputed the charge.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a personal ad posted” online “had her information on it.” The caller said she “ended up waking up to over 200 inappropriate pictures of males.” An officer responded and started an investigation.
  • A caller said “she had fraud on her card due to the skimmers that were found in town.” An officer responded and found “this incident matches several other cases that the police department is working on.”
  • A caller said “there was money taken out of her account on Sunday around 6:45 p.m., and it said in Missouri.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he was scammed out of approximately $700.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “the mother of his child is not abiding by the custody agreement.” An officer responded and told the man “he would need to take her back to court.”

December 22, 2016

  • Michael Norman Spaulding, 23, 516 Clearview Dr., #6, Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of probation violation.
  • Jake William Peitzman, 22, 138 315th St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller said “a window was broken out of one of the offices at the middle school.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
