  • A wireless 911 caller said “she heard knocking on her door.” Officers responded, “spoke with neighbors” and “advised they all stay in for the night.”
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department removed a stricken deer from the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141.
  • A caller said someone “was yelling and causing problems.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with his wife and said “that a custody issue he had reported earlier this week was okay now.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 169 south of Iowa Highway 141. The caller said “one male in the truck couldn’t get out.” The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department assisted a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff with an eviction in Perry.
  • A caller “reported vandalism to her vehicle sometime during the night.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and observed the “dog made its way home.”
  • Jeffery Dana Kurth, 31, 2120 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on a Des Moines Police Department warrant on a charge of assault causing bodily injury.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
