  • Rony Efrain Ponce Chavez, 34, 3845 53rd St., Des Moines, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone stole her wallet out of the cart” at a local retail store. An officer responded and reviewed the store’s security video.
  • A caller said someone “kept calling him.” The caller said “he just wanted this on record.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a verbal domestic.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he was “wanting his cell phones back that are at his aunt’s house.” An officer responded, and the man “retrieved the phones.”
  • A caller said she “had two packages taken from her house,” and said the “two packages were possibly stolen.” An officer responded. The caller called again and said “she located the packages and that they were delivered to a nearby address.”
  • A caller said someone’s “daughter had punched her son.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said her son “was in an altercation,” and “there should be video on it that her son was being kicked.” An officer responded.
  • Gustavo Marcos Garcia, 18, 2121 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on an original charge of possession of marijuana.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
