  • A caller reported “a man walking on the south side of Iowa Highway 141.” The caller said the man “appeared okay.” He “just wanted someone to check on him.” An officer responded but did not find the walking man.
  • A caller said “that his son was having a manic attack so he’s taking him to Des Moines.” The caller said he “wanted the agency to be aware.”
  • Anthony James Johnson Parnell, 21, 1306 11th St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation.
  • A caller said someone “is threatening to hit her.” An officer responded.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department stood by while two parties exchange personal property.
  • Two men entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said they left their vehicle “on the side of the road on Iowa Highway 141 east of Perry, and it’s no longer there.” Investigation revealed the Dallas County Sheriff’s office ordered the vehicle towed.
  • A manĀ entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “there is a barricade on the street” that is “without any lights.” The man said he “is concerned someone will run into it.” The Perry Public Works Department was alerted.
  • A caller said “she was having problems with her daughter that was visiting.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a vehicle was “blocking her friend’s driveway.” An officer responded and confirmed “the vehicle was completely blocking the driveway entrance.” The officer made contact with the registered owner of the vehicle, who “agreed to move the vehicle.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
