  • A couple entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “that last night about 10:15 a male” about 17 years old “came to their door, asking for $2 for food.” The couple said they “allowed the male in. He was well dressed, had a cell phone and was nice looking.” The male told the couple “his family moved to town about three months ago, and he has been looking for jobs but is not having luck.” The couple said they “provided sandwiches and sent him on his way,” but “minutes later they received a call from a neighbor” who said “the male had been at her sister’s condo and appeared to be heading to” another residence. The couple said “they were left uneasy about the situation” and decided to report it to law enforcement. An officer responded and “advised them if they see the male come by again, to call the police so we can make contact.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
