  • A caller said “the siren at the east end of town has not worked for the past four weeks.” A supervisor responded.
  • A caller “reported a young child, possible 9 or 10, who has been waiting a the bus stop for well over 20 minutes.” A officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large “and causing his dog to get riled up.” An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller “reported graffiti in the alley.” The caller said “‘fuck’ was written on the building.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she just received a message from someone “who was threatening to harm himself.” An officer responded and made contact with the distressed person, who “refused to talk to the officer.” The distressed person’s mother said “she would call if she needed assistance and thought he needed to go to the hospital.”
  • A caller reported “a white cow that was on Iowa Highway 141 east of the river.” The caller “said the cow went into the north ditch.” An officer responded but “was unable to locate a cow.”
  • A caller said “she saw an Amber Alert for a 12 year old and sees a vehicle in the parking lot that matches the description.” Officers responded and determined “there were no active Amber Alerts in Iowa at the time.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
