February 24, 2017

  • A caller said her dog was missing.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department provided a funeral escort.
  • A caller said her dog was missing.
  • A caller said his sister lost her key.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a check she said she found in a parking lot. An officer responded and returned the check to its payee.

February 25, 2017

  • A caller said she was “kept up all night by the house just north of her residence.” The caller said “there are a couple of trespassers next door,” and “they keep chanting to her and have been doing this all night, making it hard for her to sleep.” An officer responded but did not find any chanting trespassers.
  • A caller reported “a tenant that was upset with her because she entered his residence even though she did give a four-hour notice. MidAmerican Energy had to go and check gas valves.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her client said “she dumped all her meds.” The caller said she “would like a welfare check” of her client, who “is very agitated.” An officer responded.
  • Anthony Noe Ruiz-Rivas, 21, 702 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.
  • A caller reported “two teens riding skateboards in the middle of First Avenue.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she was “locked in at the” car wash and “can’t get the door open.” An officer responded and made contact with the car wash manager.
  • A caller reported “a man on a scooter out after dark” who was “very difficult to see.” An officer responded.

February 26, 2017

  • A caller said she “did not know how to get home and was cold.” An officer responded and drove the caller home.
  • Casey Christopher Kirk, 31, 202 W. Guthrie St., Linden, was arrested on a charge of second-offense OWI.
  • A caller said “his friend” was “having an argument with her ex-husband,” and the caller “has not heard back from her in 30 to 45 minutes.” The caller asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department could confirm the welfare of his friend. An officer responded, made contact with the friend and found “everything was fine.” The officer informed the caller.

February 27, 2016

  • A caller said “a four-wheeler just drove by her residence at excessive speeds, possibly 60 mph.” The caller said “she has seen him do it at least five times but is unsure who it is.” An officer responded but did not find the four-wheeler.
  • A caller said “there is a male and a female outside her residence,” and “she can hear them talking and saying something about burning her house.” An officer responded but did not find the male and female.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
