Perry Police Report Feb. 9

February 8, 2016

  • Matthew James Kilts, 35, 2014 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller said her son left about an hour ago in order to buy chew at a local retailer but should not be driving because he is heavily medicated. Officers responded and found the son, who was all right.
  • A caller said a heavy-set man in his 20s, known to be on medication, could be heard abusing a 2-year-old child. Officers responded. At first the man said he was arguing with someone on the telephone and then said his anti-psychotic medications were not working perfectly and he was having auditory hallucinations. His case worker was contacted and said efforts would be made “to get him back on track.”

February 9, 2016

  • William McFarland, 17, 1414 Fourth St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense curfew violation after he attempted to impersonate the father of his friend, who was found to be operating a motor vehicle in violation of his learner’s permit.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
