- A caller said he “just purchased an Apple Phone from a 14-year old boy. They made the exchange this morning.” The boy showed the caller that “the phone was functional.” The caller “attempted to activate it, but it appears the phone is now locked.” The caller said “he called Apple, and they said it may have been lost or stolen.” The caller said he “attempted to contact the kid through Facebook, but it seems the account has been deactivated.” An officer responded and determined “this phone does not match any of our current cases. At this time we are unable to prove that the phone is stolen.”
- A caller said “she had some questions about how to evict someone.” An officer responded.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “one of his neighbor’s washer machines spills out water onto his yard, and he is tired of it.” He said “he has spoken to the renters, but it continues to happen.” An officer responded and said the “information will be forwarded to the compliance officer to look into.”
- A caller said “yesterday her mother” was “bitten by a mouse.” The caller “said the mouse is now deceased and in a baggie.” An officer responded and learned the mother “had killed the mouse after trapping it in the sink but before she had killed the mouse, it had bitten her.” The caller said she made contact with a “doctor, who wasn’t concerned about the bite and advised for them to go to the clinic and get a tetanus shot as a precaution.”
- A caller said “she noticed her bathroom window was wide open, and the curtain was cut.” She said “she believes someone may have broken into the home.” An officer responded.
January 10, 2017
- Jason Wesley Ward, 41, 513 N.W. Seventh St., #8, Ogden, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
